Aspiring start-up and small business owners are being invited to attend tomorrow’s Essential Young Entrepreneurs Growth event in Sydney, co-hosted by Telstra Business and the NSW department of Trade and Investment.
The event will see a young entrepreneur think tank share their expertise with over 150 young entrepreneurs, looking to manage the transition from start-up to successful business.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with panel members and discuss issues such as how to increase your customer base, raise capital, manage risk, utilise social media channels, develop your brand, use technology to manage work-life balance and build a team of ambassadors for your company.
According to Telstra Business general manager of business partner channels, Andrew Charitou, data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics showed over 17 percent of business owners are under 35, making it important to support the growth of young entrepreneurs.
“Expanding your business from start-up to growth phase has distinct challenges; to remain competitive and focused on your sales, whilst investing in your operational systems and raising capital can be overwhelming for many inspired start up and small business owners,” Mr Charitou said.
The think tank will include:
- Nathan Dale, winner of 2010 NSW Business of the Year;
- Dwayne Martens, finalist 2011 NSW MYOB Small Business Awards;
- Jo Heighway, winner of 2011 NSW marie claire Young Business Woman; and
