The successor to Motorola’s first tablet offering has launched locally, with the XOOM 2 weighing in 100 grams less and featuring improved app integration for business owners.
The Motorola Xoom 2 runs on the Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS and a 1.2 GHz processor, is 100 grams lighter than its predecessor and features new splash-guard coating for protection on-the-go.
For business users, the tablet is loaded with VPN support, data encryption and the new MotoCast app, which allows users to stream documents, photos, music and videos from their computer to the tablet, without media tools or cords, giving them access to files and documents on an office PC, whenever needed.
MOTOPRINT has also been integrated into key apps on the XOOM 2, so users can print wirelessly from their tablet.
The 10.1-inch widescreen HD display has been colour enhanced and the tablet’s edges have been re-designed to make it more comfortable to hold.
The XOOM 2’s battery delivers up to 10-hours of video playback.
The XOOM 2 is available now on a range of Data + tablet plans on the Telstra network. Click here for more details.
