New AGHA program to maximise SMB opportunities at industry event

The Australian Gift & Homewares Association have launched a program to help SMBs in the industry maximise opportunities presented during the Sydney Home and Giving Fair this month.

The AGHA will launch its ‘Buyer Orientation Program’ to educate new and existing buyers on how to get the most out of the fair.

AGHA marketing manager George Lancaster said the Home and Giving Fair is a crucial opportunity for buyers and wholesalers to extend business networks.

“The orientation program will educate our buyers and encourage a healthier relationship with wholesalers, with a focus on real business outcomes,” Lancaster said.

“We want our buyers to be able to go into the Fair with the confidence to know what they are looking for, be sure they are asking the right questions and to be able to follow up with wholesalers after the Fair.”

Greg Dodge, a small business owner who joined the AGHA after opening his retail store Dandelyon Gifts in 2010, will lead the program.

Dodge will share knowledge and lessons he’s gained about the importance of the Fair since joining the AGHA.

The Sydney Home and Giving Fair will take place between 25 and 28 February at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.
