Internet training service providers are being encouraged to apply for funding under the Small Business Online program.
The program, announced by Small Business Minister Dr Craig Emerson in May, is designed to equip small businesses with the skills to enhance their web facilities and engage in e-business capabilities to help reduce costs and improve market opportunities.
Under the program, service providers can apply for grants of between $50,000 and $500,000 to deliver free or low cost IT skills development, training and mentoring to small business owners. Applicants can include industry associations, professional and business organisations, educational institutions and Business Enterprise Centres.
Applications close at 5pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Friday, 25 September 2009.
