Kraft kicks off Vegemite naming competition
After the disaster that was Vegemite iSnack2.0, Kraft has kicked off a second naming competition for the creamy spread.
Posting details on their website, the company has put forth six suggestions for possible names, asking Australians and New Zealanders to vote on their favourite.
The names that are being put forward to be voted upon are names which Australians and New Zealanders submitted as part of the original “Name Me” campaign.
Kraft explains: “We identified the top three most popular names that can be trademarked by Kraft Foods; we have also included three others from the entries that are worthy of consideration based on consumer feedback.”
The six names are as follows:
VEGEMITE CHEESYBITE
VEGEMITE CREAMYMATE
VEGEMITE SMOOTH
VEGEMITE SNACKMATE
VEGEMITE VEGEMATE
VEGEMITE VEGEMILD
Polling starts at 5pm (AEST) on Friday 2 October 2009 and ends at 12 noon (AEDST) on Monday 5 October 2009.
