The iPhone revolution continues as FlyBuys has become the first loyalty rewards program in Australia to launch it’s own specialty ‘app’.
On top of this, the application will provide maps showing the exact location of the nearest FlyBuys participating outlets, as well as a ‘bonus boost’ button displaying special offers.
The announcement demonstrates the true extent to which smartphones are beginning to infiltrate all elements of society, adding rewards programs to other services such as mobile banking and email already offered by the devices.
FlyBuys General Manager Phil Hawkins was optimistic about how the application would be received, boasting as to how it will allow the program to send members directly targeted messages about relevant special offers.
“With a rapidly growing number of Australians opting to use iPhones and a surge in younger FlyBuys members, our iPhone application will offer another easy way of accessing FlyBuys information to help members make the most of their points.”
FlyBuys is Australia’s largest shopping rewards program and the fifth biggest coalition loyalty program in the world, with more than 5.5 million membership households and more than 10 million cardholders in Australia.
