Bucking the trend of reducing services, and implementing high prices across the market for excess baggage, Emirates have announced generous new baggage policies for economy & business class passengers, and frequent flyer members enabling them to check in between 30 and 50 kilograms for free.
The new policy will enable first class passengers to check in 50kg for free, 40kg for business class, 30kg for passengers travelling in economy; and up to 66 kilograms for Emirates Skywards Gold members.
Stephen Pearse, Emirates Vice President Australia said the increased allowances will offer huge benefits for Australian customers and businesses.
“While other carriers are reducing services, and with generally high prices across the market for excess baggage, it is pleasing that we can boost our services to customers in this helpful way.
“Those visiting friends and family living abroad, and seeking to take extra belongings, would find the increased allowances particularly valuable.”
