Australian businesses and students are being encouraged to apply for the iAwards, the leading annual technology awards honouring the efforts of Australian business success in the ICT (Information, Communication, Technology) industry.
Organised by the Australian Information Industry Assosciation (AIIA), the 2009 iAwards is designed to showcase and launch Australia’s new national and global technology success stories.
In it’s 15th year, the 2009 iAwards will recognise businesses in 16 areas including Communication, E-government, Sustainability and Green IT, Media and Entertainment, and the Start-up Company Awards.
In addition to this, businesses who have worked in partnership with these companies to deliver unique solutions to the Australian industry and community are also eligible for nomination.
“The iAwards provides the opportunity for businesses to demonstrate their ICT contributions to a wide number of vertical industries such as logistics, health, engineering, tourism and education,” said Ian Birks, CEO of AIIA.
