Aussie startup inspiring home design with new tool

Oneflare, the Australian online trade and services marketplace, has launched Scrapbooks, a design inspiration tool that aims to make it easier for users to plan and execute design and renovation projects.

Similar to Pinterest, the tool allows users to browse images of home design ideas from the Oneflare community or around the internet and save them to a ‘scrapbook’, then connect with experts and suppliers to bring those ideas to life.

Marcus Lim, CEO of Oneflare, said the venture represents the next step in home design and home improvements.

“It combines inspiration with action, allowing users to plan, design, and execute their projects, safe in the knowledge that they can do thorough research on any trade professionals they are considering hiring,” Lim said.

The photos can be sorted according to the living space, like bedroom, bathroom, dining, and kitchen.

The tool will also allow businesses to upload a portfolio of their previous work, and let customers leave reviews and recommendations.

There are currently over 37,000 businesses registered on Oneflare in over 250 business services categories across Australia.

Lim said, “Every user has access to an extensive network of Australian local businesses they can hire to complete jobs around the home.”
