Making its debut in January 2021, the Accelerator for Enterprising Women was established with a steadfast mission: to empower women in translating their entrepreneurial aspirations into tangible achievements.
Insights from a recent Vista SMB research study underscore the remarkable risk-taking ethos embraced by female small business owners. Surprisingly, a mere 34% of these enterprising women possessed prior business management experience when commencing their ventures. Notably, the study also highlights that an impressive 75% of women-owned small businesses were self-funded—an unequivocal testament to their unyielding determination.
At the heart of this audacious spirit lies the driving force for most female small business owners, with a remarkable 72% birthing their enterprises from a profound reservoir of passion. Furthermore, the research paints a captivating narrative: approximately 16% of these businesses naturally evolve from modest side hustles into fully flourishing endeavors.
The winners will be honored in a celebratory event in Canberra this December.
