Founder and CEO of Hub Australia, Brad Krauskopf has been named the 2013 Small Business Ambassador of Australia by the Council of Small Business Australia (COSBOA) – he is the youngest to have ever won the prestigious award.
Krauskopf was named as the winner at the 11th NAB National Small Business Summit in Brisbane last night, attended by the Federal Minister for Small Business, The Hon Gary Gray MP and the Shadow Federal Minister for Small Business, The Hon Bruce Billson MP.
“I’m super excited of what this award says about our Hub members and the way they are choosing to work, start new businesses, work more collaboratively and innovate to create a new future of work,” Krauskopf said.
“Small business is the engine room of our economy providing people with opportunities to work in ways to better suit the lives they want to lead. When small businesses support one another and collaborate they can punch above their weight,” he added.
Krauskopf said he is passionate about encouraging diverse people and organisations to collaborate and the opportunities collaboration provides.
COSBOA Executive Director Peter Strong said when he walked into Hub Australia premises he saw the workplace of ‘tomorrow’ – big and small groups working together.
Upon accepting the award, Krauskopf said there’s no better time to start a small business with the technology and opportunities we now have available. “With what we already have here in Australia we can create the collaboration boom – more small businesses working with big business,” he said.
