The ethical business owner and food entrepreneur won the top spot over finalists Lorna Jane Clarkson and Fernwood founder Diana Williams for her remarkable “determination and entrepreneurial spirit.”
“Courageous, brave and inspiring… This InStyle and Audi Women of Style win is a tribute to her professionalism and dedication – and outstanding success in the business arena,” InStyle editor Kerrie McCallum said.
After her daughter was born in 2000 with a rare genetic disorder, Weiss gave up her marketing career. Soon, she realised she wanted to connect with other mums and build an asset that could help take care of her family – so she launched Table of Plenty.
Since launch in 2006, the muesli, snacks and spice blends business has grown to see turnover of over $1 million per annum. Its products are stocked in over 1,000 retail outlets and in six countries, including Dubai and Singapore.
Weiss was also recognised for her passionate support of several charities including SCOPE, which assists people living with disabilities.
